Celebrities and You Tuber's Reaction on Possible YouTube Ban In Pakistan


The news that the nation's top court is thinking about a restriction on YouTube has stunned Pakistanis especially the network of makers on the YouTube who are gaining from it.The move comes after Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) put a transitory restriction on PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) toward the beginning of July after a spate of suicides connected to the game and a few protests that the versatile game was "addictive" and "an exercise in futility". After PUBG, Pakistan likewise obstructed the Singapore-based Bigo and also gave warning to TikTok.

The YouTube ban news started a warmed discussion via web-based networking media as many Pakistanis are related with the video stage that extends to immediate and roundabout employment opportunities to thousands. Residents named the possible ban, a danger to Pakistan's advanced economy, as YouTube is where they "learn and gain."


YouTubers' reaction On Possible YouTube Ban:

Waqar Zaka VJ turned TV host,famous for his bold actions and statements.He always comes forward in any social and technology related issues.He had earlier announced the YouTube Ban in Pakistan, but the news was not confirmed at the time.Now when this news revealed officially,then he showed his disappointment on YouTube Ban in Pakistan.He remained successful in PUBG Ban Case and Today Islamabad Court ordered to lift ban from PUBG. Now he appealed to the people to stand up against You Tube ban in Pakistan.

Another Famous You tuber Irfan Junejo shared his concern on Youtube ban in Pakistan.Famous Vlogger said on PUBG Ban;"The fear of previous bans is the reason that Netflix, Amazon, PayPal and Tesla will not come to Pakistan anytime soon".He urged higher authorities to apply suitable policy rather than banning complete platform.


Raza Samo remarked, A lot of Pakistani content creators will find their dreams shattered with the ban.He has YouTube Channel "Khujlee Family" with 1.3 million subscribers.He further added,Banning YouTube for a few objectionable videos is similar to closing an entire university because a few students take drugs. You do not destroy the whole institution because of a few bad guys or bad videos.He encouraged the authorities to fix the issue as opposed to closing down the stage.


Pakistan had banned YouTube earlier for 3 Years in 2012 which was lifted in 2016.Due to which creators of Pakistan were left far behind.Now thousands Pakistanis are earning from YouTube through
entertainment,news,food and beauty channels.

Celebrities Reactions On YouTube ban In Pakistan:

Mahwish Hayat, famous Pakistani Film star who never shy to gave her opionion in evey matter.
She also came against Youtube Ban in Pakistan.She said in her Tweet; "Freedom of speech is the basic tenet of any society. In Pakistan, social media provides checks & balances that mainstream doesn’t. Progressive states shouldn’t need to resort to bans".
She tweeted;


Zara Noor Abbas ,Who is famous for her character "Rani" in Ehd-e-Wafa also come forward in this matter.she said;"There is a massive industry of content creators, digital makers and entertainers in Pakistan that survive on YouTube. Filter content would be a great idea but Banning YouTube will only create more idleness and negativity amongst the professionals and the public. We have already lost too many jobs due to this Pandemic. Lives.. Let's be moderate in this Ban towards YouTube. If downsizing and joblessness continues like this, the next big pandemic could be mental inactivity which will cause further crimes and induce negativity."
She said it in her Tweet.She tweeted;



Ahmad Ali butt didn't remain silent on this matter as well.He is famous Pakistani actor.He shared his opinion in his instagram story;


Shaista Lodhi ,a famous Pakistani TV actress and host, also shared her concern over Youtube Ban in Pakistan.She said;"YouTube ban in 2012 proved disastrous for the industry & is partly responsible of y we dont have local offices of Google,Facebook,Twitter etc. SC point was about regulation.With rules under PECA already being discussed with tech companies, there is NO question about".
She said in her tweet;


In our opinion,Banning You Tube can be a disastrous decsion authorities should look to regulate the policy rather than Ban YouTube.
